Washburn Rural may be the only city team alive in the winner's
bracket of the Capital City Classic, but that didn't mean Junior
Blues coach Jim Dinkel was a happy camper Thursday night.
In fact, happiness never even crossed Dinkel's emotional spectrum
following Rural's 79-72 double overtime victory over Olathe North.
One might have even guessed the Junior Blues had lost, judging by
Dinkel's demeanor.
"We couldn't have played any worse and still won," said a
disgusted Dinkel, whose team will take on Lawrence (8-2) in today's
