Lyndon State Bank has agreed to purchase the branch locations of
Commercial Federal Bank in Lyndon and Topeka for an undisclosed
amount.
Clyde Burns, president and chairman of the board of Lyndon State
Bank, said he wanted to purchase the branch locations to increase the
size and lending ability of his bank. The five-employee Commercial
Federal location in Lyndon is across the street from the Lyndon State
Bank building. The Topeka location, with four employees, is located
at 1535 S.W. Fairlawn.
"We feel Lyndon State Bank will continue to serve the customers in
these two communities very well," said William Fitzgerald, chairman
