Maxine Bleidissel
SCRANTON --- Maxine Bleidissel, 83, Scranton, died Sunday, March
4, 2001, at a Topeka hospital.
Mrs. Bleidissel had worked at the supply depot at Forbes Air Force
Base, Topeka, and was postmaster at Scranton for several years. She
retired from the Kansas Department of Revenue in 1984, after 12 years
of service.
She was born Oct. 16, 1917, in Scranton, the daughter of James and
Elizabeth Ross Brackman. She grew up in Scranton and graduated from
Scranton High School.
Mrs. Bleidissel was a member of Scranton United Methodist Church
and the United Methodist Women. She was a past worthy matron of
Carbondale Chapter No. 37 of the Order of Eastern Star and was a past
worthy high ...
