Nathan Barr
BETTENDORF, Iowa --- Nathan L. Barr, 86, Bettendorf, died Sunday,
April 15, 2001, at his home.
Mr. Barr was a band instructor at East High School in Waterloo,
Iowa. He was also co-op manager and hospital administrator in Sioux
City, Iowa. He retired in 1979 as executive director for Brewster
Place Retirement Home, Topeka, after 18 years.
He was born on Oct. 25, 1914, at Fayette, Iowa, to John and Myrtle
Williams Barr. He graduated from high school in 1933 in Fayette. He
graduated from Upper Iowa University, Fayette, with a bachelor of
arts degree. He received a master's degree in music from the
University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He later received a hospital
administration degree ...
