NEW STRAWN --- For Wolf Creek nuclear power plant officials, green news is good news.

Managers at the nuclear power plant met with federal regulators on Thursday afternoon to review an annual safety report. The findings indicated Wolf Creek is operating at a level the Nuclear Regulatory Commission considers "green," meaning a "very low safety significance."

"Overall, Wolf Creek Generating Station operated in a manner that preserved public health and safety," William D. Johnson, of the NRC's Region IV office in Arlington, Texas, wrote in a letter to Wolf ...
