Many area communities are planning Independence Day celebrations
on or around July 4. Following is a list of some of the Fourth of
July events in northeast Kansas.
June
30 --- GOFF: 50th Independence Day Celebration. Events include a
parade at 6 p.m., games and food after the parade, horse shoe
pitching contest from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at City Park, a music program
at 8 p.m., and fireworks at dusk. Visitors should bring lawn chairs.
There also will be food stands and a raffle for cash prizes.

30 --- PERRY: Lake Perry Independence Day Festival, noon at Lake
Perry. Arts and crafts booths, food, live music, skydivers, military
displays, ...
