Storms: Eastern third of Kansas saw little or no rainfall during the weekend

Thunderstorms that developed over eastern Colorado on Saturday pushed eastward, dumping more than 2 inches of rain in parts of western Kansas on Saturday night and Sunday morning.

In Hays, 2.23 inches of rain fell at the airport while 1.92 inches were measured at the city water plant. Also in Ellis County, 1.2 inches were reported six miles northwest of Schoenchen, and 1.05 inches fell in Victoria.

Farther west, rainfall reports included 2.02 inches in Quinter and 1.36 inches in WaKeeney.
