CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa --- The Cedar Rapids Rough Riders shut out the
Topeka ScareCrows 5-0 in front of a sold-out crowd of 4,067 Saturday
night in United States Hockey League action.
Even though Topeka (3-4-1) outshot Cedar Rapids 46-35, it was the
Rough Riders who were able to capitalize from the shots on goal.
Jimmy Spiewak, P.J. Atherton, Adam Olsen, Ted O'Leary and Corey
Carlson notched goals for Cedar Rapids (6-2-0), which moved into a
first-place tie for the East division lead.
Topeka will be back home at 6:05 tonight against the last-place
Tulsa Crude (1-6-1), which lost 3-1 Saturday night to Tri-City.
