An intriguing piece in Wired magazine notes that the economic
historian Niall Ferguson is working with an American video game
company to produce a computer strategy game which will model real-
world conflicts involving rogue states and global terrorism.
Apparently Professor Ferguson was so impressed with the Muzzy Lane's
game Making History, in which players could re-run the Second World
War to see if they could produce a different outcome, that he
decided to pursue his interest in counter-factual ...
