Ben Spies wants a second consecutive AMA Superbike title, and
teammate Mat Mladin would like a record-extending seventh.
Where this whole rivalry gets a little tricky is that on most of
weekends this season, they're essentially only racing each other.
"It's great for the team because they think one of the riders is
going to win the title, and that's what they really want," said
Spies, a 22-year-old from Longview, Texas. "From a rider standpoint,
you really don't want to be battling your teammate.
"When two teammates get together and they're pushing, yeah,
(trouble) happens sometimes because the last person you want to lose
