RATHER than edging along in half a tonne of warm metal, I'd
prefer to be sailing past the 4x4s clogging Battersea Bridge on my
bike.
But I'm also a guilty car-driver, using it to transport my three
young children and for occasional errands. The NICE (No Internal
Combustion Engine) Car Company wants to convince me there is a
better way.
Electric cars like theirs are not new.
Toyota's Prius, with a hybrid petrol/ electric engine, is de
rigueur for Hollywood celebs. But while there are some seriously
flash electric cars being tested, the only all-electric model on the
road, until recently, has been the G-Wiz, a tiny plastic bubble of a
car.
It was slammed last month after a crash test ...
