US Airways Inc. yesterday announced plans to start a
Washington-Boston shuttle service within the next three months. The
expanded Boston shuttle will begin service about the same time as
the Arlington-based airline begins its bid to compete with major
U.S. airlines through new low-cost airline service out of Baltimore.
The shuttle operation will involve 17 daily flights each way
to and from to Boston, spaced one hour apart, complementing the
existing US Airways shuttle service connecting Washington, New York
and Boston. The new service means that instead of needing a
reservation on US Airways' frequent daily flights to Boston,
travelers can count on catching a flight on a walk-up ...
