LIVERMORE -- Police arrested two Oakley men on suspicion of
selling illegal fireworks Wednesday.
After Jeremy Petrell, 34, and Donald Lobach, 60, were arrested on
suspicion of possessing the contraband, police searched their
property and seized $25,000 of illegal fireworks, said interim
Livermore police Chief Steve Sweeney.
In Livermore and Pleasanton, all fireworks are illegal -- even
"safe and sane" fireworks approved by the state.
"Technically, (illegal fireworks) constitute explosives,"
Livermore-Pleasanton fire Chief Bill Cody said.
