Eighteen patents were awarded to Utah inventors on June 5. U.S. patents are granted each Tuesday. The new patents include:

-- Dip tube anchor assembly and related container. Derik R. West, Jeremy L. Branscomb, Michael E. Goodwin, all of Logan; Todd S. Theurer, Providence. Assigned to Hyclone Laboratories Inc., Logan. Filed Sept. 29, 2004. Patent No. 7,225,824.

-- Drill bit assembly with an indenting member. David R. Hall, Provo. Filed Dec. 22, 2005, claiming priority to multiple prior patent applications. Patent No. 7,225,886.

-- Crack repair using friction stir welding on materials including metal matrix composites, ferrous alloys, nonferrous alloys and superalloys. Scott M. Packer, Alpine; ...
