Article: Nigerian gunmen grab Briton's daughter, three

THE three-year-old daughter of a British expatriate has been kidnapped at gunpoint in Nigeria.

The child, named as Margaret Hill, was snatched while in a traffic jam as she was being driven to school in the city of Port Harcourt in the oil-rich south of the country.

The Foreign Office today confirmed that she had been abducted and a spokesman said: "We do not know who took her. We are in contact with her parents and are providing assistance.

"High Commission officials are in contact with the Nigerian authorities.
