THE three-year-old daughter of a British expatriate has been
kidnapped at gunpoint in Nigeria.
The child, named as Margaret Hill, was snatched while in a
traffic jam as she was being driven to school in the city of Port
Harcourt in the oil-rich south of the country.
The Foreign Office today confirmed that she had been abducted and
a spokesman said: "We do not know who took her. We are in contact
with her parents and are providing assistance.
"High Commission officials are in contact with the Nigerian
authorities.
We call for her immediate safe release." One of the biggest oil
producers in the country is Shell and Port Harcourt is at the heart
of the company's operations in the southern Niger ...
