Article: Central Oklahoma United Way closes deal on new building

The United Way of Central Oklahoma signed closing papers to purchase a new building on Friday and will move its operations to the facility in 2008.

Bob Spinks, president and CEO of United Way of Central Oklahoma, said the agency is financing the $990,000 building purchase with funds raised from individuals specifically for the building and from the eventual sale of its current building.

"We're not spending regular donor dollars to do this," he said. The new building, a former church, is about 30,000 square feet on the southeast corner of NW 28th Street at N. McKinley Avenue just east of Oklahoma City University.
