A Tracy manufacturer of kitchen cabinetry has reached a
settlement with the Environmental Protection Agency for violating
federal laws regarding hazardous waste material.
Barbosa Cabinets, Inc., 2020 E. Grantline Road, was fined $32,200
as part of the settlement for improperly storing, labeling, handling
and disposing of hazardous material.
``We are pleased Barbosa Cabinets has corrected is violations,''
Steven Barhite, acting Waste management Division director for the
EPA's Pacific Southwest Region said in a prepared statement. ``The
proper storage and management of hazardous waste ensures community,
worker and environmental safely.''
