A WOW-FACTOR shopping centre, including Europes longest champagne bar, is to be created at St Pancras.

The new rail terminal for Eurostar services to France and Belgium will have 67 places to shop, eat and drink.

London Continental Railways, the company developing St Pancras, hopes it will be Europes answer to Grand Central station in New York.

The outlets will range from a branch of Foyles bookshop to a small farmers market.

Traditionally, the selection of shops at railway stations has been limited to WH Smith and fast-food outlets. Some, such as Victoria, have introduced high-street chain stores.
