A "WOW-FACTOR" shopping centre, including Europe's longest
champagne bar, is to be created at St Pancras International.
The new rail terminal for Eurostar services to France and Belgium
will have 67 places to shop, eat and drink.
London Continental Railways, the company developing St Pancras,
hopes it will be Europe's answer to Grand Central station in New
York.
The outlets will range from a satellite branch of Foyles bookshop
to a small farmers' market.
Traditionally, the selection of shops at railway stations have
been limited to W H Smith and a handful of fast-food outlets.
Some, such as Victoria, have introduced more high-street chain
stores and Paddington has a sushi bar.
