What would Louis Pasteur do? Gasp in horror, perhaps. Or
frantically wave his arms to warn people against drinking those
tempting glasses of milk in front of them.
But they'd most likely ignore the gent who developed
pasteurization, and happily gulp away. To a small but devoted group
of Americans, raw milk -- unpasteurized and unhomogenized -- is the
only way to go.
"For me, there are three big reasons I now only consume raw milk
from Larga Vista Ranch," says Andrew Gardner of Colorado Springs,
who has bought a share of a cow through the Pueblo-area dairy and
gets a gallon of raw milk a week.
