Joe Stadler, executive director of the Wisconsin PGA, doesn't know whether Blackwolf Run in Kohler will ever be the "permanent" site of the Wisconsin State Open Golf Tournament, but it certainly is a consideration.

Blackwolf Run, which was named Golf Digest magazine's best new course when it opened in 1988, will play host to the state's top local tournament for the fifth time, starting today and running through Wednesday. After playing host to the tournament in 1990, Blackwolf Run was the host again in 2001 and the tournament has been played there in odd-numbered years throughout the decade.
