The previous series sweep between the White Sox and Boston Red
Sox is the one Ozzie Guillen prefers to remember.
It came in a 2005 American League Division Series in which the
White Sox won three straight en route to a World Series title.
"That's when it counted," Guillen said, "and it got me a ring."
The latest sweep, completed by the Red Sox on Sunday at U.S.
Cellular Field with an 11-1 pasting of the White Sox, got Boston a
share of baseball history.
The Red Sox became only the fourth team to score double-digit
runs in each game of a four-game series, according to the Elias
Sports Bureau, joining the 1920 and 1922 St. Louis Browns and the
