Article: Kohl's starts serving up Food Network wares; Advertising push begins for product line from cable cooking channel

Kohl's is making its first advertising push for its new Food Network housewares line this week, at the same time analysts and fashion media are buzzing about the retailer's Vera Wang apparel and accessories launch earlier this month.

The Food Network line, exclusive to Kohl's, is the first licensed product from the popular cable cooking channel. The brand has a dominant position in Kohl's housewares department and includes cookware, textiles, gadgets and utensils.

"We feel like Food Network is an umbrella for the entire housewares business," said Peggy Eskenasi, executive vice president, product development.
