Penn State knew exactly what Michigan was going to do: Mike Hart
to the left, right and up the middle.
But the No. 10 Nittany Lions couldn't stop him -- or coach Joe
Paterno's longest losing streak against one school.
Hart rushed for 153 yards on a career-high 44 carries and scored
on a one-yard run in the fourth quarter to lead the Wolverines to a
14-9 victory against Penn State.
Even though the Nittany Lions stacked their defense to stop Hart,
Michigan coach Lloyd Carr didn't hesitate to keep giving him the
ball.
"I'm not dumb," Carr said jokingly.
Two weeks after their season appeared to be doomed, the
Wolverines (2-2, 1-0 Big Ten) have new life. Michigan climbed back
to .500 ...
