Died on September 21, 2007. He was born in Waukegan, IL in 1929 to James, Sr. and Lora Donohue. For a time, he grew up in a house with 12 of his cousins. Jim entered the Illinois Institute of Technology at age 16 where he received his Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He went on to the University of Michigan where he received a Masters Degree in Engineering Mechanics. He served in the Air Force as a staff sergeant in Korea. Jim went to work for Outboard Marine Corporation in 1950 as a Development and Research Engineer.
