Yes, there were technical problems with Sunday night's first
episode of Ken Burns' latest opus, "The War."
No, Channel 10 wasn't to blame for the fact that audio and video
weren't in sync on the two-hour opening night of the 14 1/2 -hour
documentary.
Viewers around the country reported that the audio and video
weren't in sync, and that the picture froze or went black altogether
during the first airing of the first part at 7 p.m. Sunday,
Milwaukee time.
Ellis Bromberg, Milwaukee Public TV's general manager, first
noticed the problem Sunday night.
"I was watching it from home, realizing there wasn't much I could
do about it," he says.
