ANTIGUA and Nevis are both at the north of the Leeward Islands.
Antigua is the largest Leeward Island at 14 miles long and 11 miles
wide and has a population of 70,000. The capital, St Johns, is in
the north-west of the island. Nevis, 50 miles to the west of
Antigua, measures seven by five miles and has a population of only
10,000 permanent residents.
Language: English is spoken everywhere. Nevis is part of the
Federation of St Kitts and Nevis. A small channel separates the two
islands.
Climate: Nevis and Antigua are tropical islands with little
seasonal variety. Antigua has a reputation as one of the sunniest
