Where would you go if a disaster struck? If you're relatively
youthful and able-bodied, getting out of Dodge - or Anne Arundel
County - shouldn't be much of a stretch.
But what will happen to the ever-increasing numbers of elderly
residents in this county?
A group of concerned residents of Heritage Harbour, a community
for seniors, organized an evening session devoted to emergency
preparedness recently.
The main speaker was the jovial Capt. Thomas J. Wilson, the
county's director of emergency management, and a member of the
county Police Department. With him was Cathy Welker, the OEM
training and exercise manager, and Karen Sank, volunteer
