Playing without its starting quarterback, No. 1 Thomas Jefferson
turned to its two-man rushing attack, which helped the Jaguars
cruise to a 44-2 victory over No. 9 Keystone Oaks.
Because Tyler Wehner was benched for breaking team rules, Thomas
Jefferson (5-0, 2-0) carried the ball 48 times and passed just once.
Running backs Arthur James and Orlando Torres scored three
touchdowns apiece.
Thomas Jefferson had 354 yards of total offense. Keystone Oaks (3-
2, 2-1) mustered only 109.
"They are really stepping up and taking charge in the backfield,"
Thomas Jefferson coach Bill Cherpak said. "They both have great
speed, and the sky's the limit for both of them."
