Article: Catholics get a look at drawings of new church

REDLANDS - The Catholic community of Redlands will soon have a new place of worship, as The Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church revealed its plan for a huge new church on San Bernardino Avenue.

The new church, which is scheduled to seat 3,000 parishioners when at full capacity, will be the fifth church built in Redlands in the last 113 years, according to the Rev. Paul Granillo, the founding pastor of The Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community.

Granillo led a prayer service at the University of Redlands Memorial Chapel Saturday, where the plans for the new church were officially unveiled.
