THEY'RE BACK ; Air Force revival off to grand start at 3-0 after upset

Air Force football is back.

The Falcons announced it loudly and clearly Thursday with a 20- 17 overtime victory over Texas Christian -- an upset that ranks among the most shocking and satisfying in the program's history.

On a perfect night in front of an announced crowd of 31,556 at Falcon Stadium, Air Force made enough plays to hang around for three quarters and then staged a fourth-quarter comeback to force overtime.

In the extra session, the Horned Frogs got the ball first, and Chris Manfredini bounced a 36-yard field goal attempt off the left upright. Air Force kicker Ryan Harrison then provided the walk-off game-winner by nailing a 33-yarder.
