I am disturbed by The Post's editorial approval of Gov. Martin
O'Malley's plan to apply the sales tax to massage therapy and a few
other services ["The O'Malley Plan," Sept. 24
].
First, massage therapy is regulated by the state under its
Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as a health-care practice.
Massage therapy would become the only form of health care to be
taxed. If the governor really advocates taxing health care, which
would add to the burden of skyrocketing health costs, ...
