Article: Boston law firm to disband McCormack blames sagging market

The law firm headed by former state Attorney General Edward J. McCormack Jr., which has had a hand in developing Boston's skyline over the last two decades, has voted to disband, another victim of the city's sagging real estate market.

McCormack, who has moved out of his Rowes Wharf condominum and is staying at the Bostonian Hotel weekdays and his Cape Cod home weekends, confirmed late last night that his firm, McCormack & Putziger, was breaking up.

He blamed the slumping real estate and development market, noting his firm of seven partners devoted itself exclusively to development work.
