In the four years they have been regular visitors to America the
Tallis Scholars have developed a following even larger than the
early-music audience so there was a crowded church for their concert
last night, the first of two this week in the Boston Early Music
Festival.
It is much to the credit of the Tallis Scholars that they have
found this new audience without losing their core following by
compromising their standards in performance and in repertory. Last
