Article: Bullock: Give Him A Hand; Local Freshman Leads Michigan

Some basketball players get the proverbial hot hand during a game. Hitting five three-pointers in a half -- as the University of Michigan's Louis Bullock did against Indiana on Jan. 28 -- is one way to make your hand so hot that others better not come near it.

Bullock's hand, though, is a little different.

"I don't let anyone touch my shooting hand before a game," said Bullock, who picked up the superstition from one of the guys who played at his gym back home in Temple Hills, Md.

It might not be very comforting to Michigan fans that much of their team's hopes ride on a superstitious freshman guard. But that's the reality, and so far, it's been pretty easy to live with.
