It has been a very busy six years for Steve DeFillippo. Still just
30, he has managed to open not one, not two, but three Italian
restaurants -- in Boston, Brookline and Cambridge. All are notable
for their interesting menus, hearty tastes and pleasant ambience.
First came Davio's on Newbury Street, where DeFillippo and his
wife, Bonnie, acquired a pretentious Italian restaurant and revived
