Kelly Tynan's "passport" shows that, at age 6, she has visited
more than a dozen foreign countries, from Australia to Switzerland.
And by the time her kindergarten class at St. Agnes Catholic School
in Arlington gets to the end of the alphabet, she will have made it
to Zimbabwe.
That is, Australia and Zimbabwe will have come to her.
Embassy representatives, foreign journalists and others with
special knowledge of different countries have come through Sally
Donnelly's kindergarten class each week this school year to teach a
little about letters, a bit of geography and a lot about foreign
cultures.
Recently, the letter was "S" and the country was Switzerland.
