Michael P. O'Donnell won't give in to the blues.
"I'm not going to the recession party," said the chairman,
president and chief executive officer of Ground Round Restaurants
Inc., the Braintree-based restaurant chain that went public in
September. "We're going to improvise, adapt and overcome," said
O'Donnell, using the Marines' rallying cry to describe his company's
tactics.
To overcome five years of stagnant growth, Ground Round plans to
add at least 90 more restaurants in the next five years, for a total
of 300, 190 of them company owned. The company will concentrate its
expansion in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York and
Pennsylvania, regions where it has brand recognition ...
