Curators at the Museum of Victoria in Melbourne, Australia,
have stumbled upon two preserved birds they say were collected in
the last century by Charles Darwin while he was formulating his
theory of evolution.
The finch and bush bird were discovered in museum vaults,
where they had been stored and forgotten. Both carry identification
tags purportedly handwritten by the early British naturalist, the
Age newspaper reported.
