Connecticut's 44-game home winning streak -- the longest in
the nation -- is over.
Saudia Roundtree matched her career high with 27 points and
No. 4 Georgia held off two second-half rallies to upset No. 3
Connecticut, 75-67, yesterday.
"The person we were most worried about was La'Keshia Frett,
and Jamelle {Elliott} did a great job of guarding her," U-Conn.
guard Jennifer Rizzotti said. "But Saudia Roundtree just came out
and was on fire."
Roundtree finished 11 for 21 from the field and the Bulldogs
(13-2) hit 8 of 21 three-pointers to snap U-Conn.'s winning streak
at Gampel Pavilion.
The Bulldogs won their 11th in a row, including three straight
against nationally ranked ...
