Diamond Ferri graduated from Everett High School almost two years
ago this week as one of the city's most decorated football players
ever. And that's saying something, as no city in the state, except
possibly Brockton, equals Everett's high school football tradition.
In three seasons, the 5-foot-10-inch, 206-pound tailback rushed
for more than 4,000 yards and scored 54 touchdowns, leading the
Crimson Tide to Division 1 Super Bowl victories in 1997 and 1999.
Everett's only loss with him on the field came in the 1998 Super
Bowl, 23-21, to Xaverian and Ferri's 533 rushing yards in Super Bowls
is far and away the all-time state record.
