Los Angeles Dodgers ace Kevin Brown, who left Sunday's game at Arizona after just 20 pitches, was placed on the 15-day disabled list yesterday with discomfort in his right elbow. It was the second time the Dodgers' ace has gone on the DL since undergoing surgery Sept. 27 to repair a torn flexor muscle. There was good news: Dr. Frank Jobe determined Brown's latest problem is a posterior medial sprain in the back of his elbow - not the area that was operated on in September - and he won't require surgery . . .
