MANCHESTER, N. H. - History is in the warp and woof of "Uncommon Threads: New Twists on Textile Art" at the Currier Gallery of Art. In the 19th century, Manchester was a center of textile production. The 14 artists in "Uncommon Threads" steep their art in generations of handiwork. Although it wasn't planned, it's no accident that all the artists in the show are women. By and large, women's hands still hold the needles.
