If Apple Computer Inc. has done anything with its iMac line of
computers, it has rejuvenated the reputation of the all-in-one
computer - even in the PC world.
An all-in-one has its display and "guts" in a single unit. The
arrangement allows computer makers to create compact units with small
desktop footprints.
In the past, all-in-one computers were rapped as being
underpowered and lacking expansion options. That certainly isn't the
case now. And it certainly isn't the case with the Profile 4 line of
computers made by Gateway Inc.
Gateway originally positioned the Profile 4 as an alternative to
Apple's "lamp Mac." It even includes a poster, as do iMacs, in the
Profile 4's box showing how easy ...
