Article: GREENSTEIN TO PLAY LINDEN TREE SINGER PERFORMS FOLK, BLUES, POP

Veteran performers Robin Greenstein and Scott Alarik return to the Linden Tree Coffeehouse in Wakefield Saturday for an evening of traditional and original songs and ballads.

Greenstein, a singer and songwriter from New York City, began playing guitar at 11 and banjo at 17. In college, she studied under folk legend Hedy West.

She received federal grants to collect and record traditional Sephardic Jewish folk music and was signed for two years to Bob Dylan's publishing company.

She has gone on to teach, perform, and tour at colleges, on the US folk circuit, and in Europe. She performs traditional folk, blues, and pop, as well as original compositions she calls ...
