Article: A HORSEWHIPPING COLTS NO MATCH FOR PENNINGTON, JETS

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Not to keep beating this horse, but the 2002 New York Jets, who soundly thrashed the Colts yesterday, provided yet another reason to compare them to the 2001 Patriots.

They, too, seem to be at their best when playing Indianapolis.

New England whipped Indianapolis twice last season. New York was only able to administer one beating this season but it was a merciless one, 41-0, in an AFC wild-card game at Giants Stadium. The Jets will travel to either Oakland or Nashville next weekend to face the Raiders, who eliminated the Jets from last year's playoffs and defeated them five weeks ago, or the Titans in the divisional round.
