Ronald Isley, of the legendary Isley Brothers, could sing a box
score, and tease it into a deliciously sexy caress. A whopping 44
years after the Isleys enjoyed their first hit, "Shout" in 1959, his
voice remains plush and enticing. And it takes every ounce of Isley's
vocal prowess to elevate this collection from the doldrums of jeep-
beat contemporary R&B. This isn't a satisfying follow-up to 2001's
"Eternal," which became one of the biggest albums of the Isleys'
career, and much of the blame belongs to R. Kelly, who wrote,
produced, and arranged 11 of this CD's 12 tracks. His efforts are
thin and lazy, sounding more like first drafts than finished
