DEAR BETH:There was this guy I was going out with, and he said
all these things: I was special; he loved me; I was amazing. Then
after four days he said he didn't want to be with me. I felt so hurt
because he's the first guy I ever loved! He said he couldn't be with
me because he works, works out, and goes to school. I told him I
don't have to see him or speak to him every day. So I don't really
know what to think.
HOPELESSLY IN LOVE
Don't cling to him and try to get him to like you. It won't work.
Go out with friends and keep yourself occupied. Four days is not long
enough to get really attached, so you'll probably forget him soon.
Then you'll find someone who wants to be with you.
