The Waldorf School, a nontraditional private school in Lexington,
has put off plans to relocate to the former site of a Japanese
exchange school in Lincoln, a decision that has Lincoln town
officials fearful the land could attract developments over which the
town would have little or no control.
Holt Massey, a Lincoln resident and real estate investor,
purchased the 30-acre property with his brother, Ivor, in October on
behalf of the Waldorf School, with the intention of selling all of it
to the school. But in recent months, Massey said, the school has had
trouble fund-raising and is in the middle of reorganizing its
