Article: SJC OPENS INQUIRY INTO MUNICIPAL COURT HARASSMENT CHARGE SPARKS INVESTIGATION

The Supreme Judicial Court is investigating allegations of wrongdoing by top officials at Boston Municipal Court, including charges that court officials ignored complaints of sexual harassment.

The investigation by the SJC's Committee on Professional Responsibility for Clerks of the Courts comes as legislators are poised to give the Municipal Court jurisdiction over seven other Boston district courts - over the objection of Governor Mitt Romney, who wanted the autonomous, politically connected Municipal Court dismantled.
